This is a different take on a popular game that both parents and youth love and can play well together. On sheets of paper, write out letters of the alphabet. Include extra vowels to balance your group. Unlike the board game, each letter does not get a number value. Then at your mark have everyone mill around the room to form 3-letter words. All those who don't get into a word are out of the game. After reading all the words formed, have those still in the game form 4-letter words. Repeat. Try to go up to 7-letter words. After a turn or two, mix in the letters (or people) which were eliminated to keep the possibilities fresh. The goal is not to stay in the game but to form words together.
