Assign each family group a putt-putt golf hole to design. You could do this in two different ways. You could gather the supplies and have them choose from the supplies you have supplied to build. Or you could give them a two-week window where they can design from their own supplies at home. | | Please leave a comment or share an idea |

This is a simple game for parents and teens that "forces" group dynamics into play. The supplies you will need are blindfolds for everyone and rope at least 20 feet long (based on group size). Blindfold everyone, parents and teens. Place a length of rope in everyone's hands. Challenge them to form a perfect square while blindfolded using the full length of the rope. They are finished only when everyone is touching the rope and agrees that it's a perfect square. You watch, notice, and highlight who the leaders are, who listens well, who doesn't listen well, etc. This may be your lesson or an intro to something deeper. | | Please leave a comment or share an idea |

Get an old sheet and cut four nose-sized holes in it at the level where an average-sized person standing can stick his nose through. Once the group gathers together, pick four dads go to behind the sheet and fit their nose in one hole. Have the youth guess who's dad belongs to which nose. Then give four moms the turn. Finally let four youth go behind the sheet and have the parents guess. It is a simple but silly game and serves as a good crowdbreaker. | | Please leave a comment or share an idea |

Give everyone a piece of paper. Have them fill out the following: favorite food, favorite sports team, favorite song, favorite hobby, and favorite thing about your church. Have them sign their paper and give it back to you without anyone seeing the answers. Only the game leader can see the answers. Gather the group together and read one person's answers. Have the group figure out who that is. Continue through all the answers. This crowdbreaker game will take some time but it is time well spent. | | This item includes 2 comments/ideas |
